- PACE is for compound fertilizers – fertilizers which contain more than one nutrient
- A unique vegetable-based resin membrane ensures the plant receives a steady dose of nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus
- Depending on the thickness of the coating, nutrients are released over different lengths of time - from 2-3 months up to 8-9 months
- When applied, pressure starts to build up within the granule, forcing nutrients through the semi-permeable vegetable coating
- The release is not influenced by soil moisture levels, pH or bacterial activity, so remains consistent over a wide range of environmental conditions
- Equally, the plant gets less nitrogen under colder weather patterns, which helps avoid aggressive growth
- This helps reduce dry matter production (i.e. grass clippings), which has an environmentally positive impact
- Furthermore, because aggressive growth is curbed, this in turn helps produce a strong, dense plant with deeper rooting all season long

PACE technology is found in the following Scotts brands:
SierrablenPlus
SierrablenPlus contains high amounts of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium controlled release coating technologies, like Poly-S and PACE
Sierrablen
Sierrablen is the larger granule version of SierrablenPlus but with all the benefits.
Sportsmaster CRF
Sportsmaster CRF is a granulated product range with normal size granules, containing an ideal mix of coated and uncoated nitrogen.
